Temper

Temper

One of the main reasons some security guards fail to interact well with the public is due to their lack of anger and temper control.
It is the cardinal rule of salesmanship that you never get mad at the customer.

Remember that the best weapon you can hold, when you are angry, is your tongue. Customer service is the number one duty of a security guard.

You must also remember that you are representing the client, and that you are expected to act in a professional and respectful manner. ****

In today’s world, what you say and what you do is constantly being watched. Everyone has a cellular phone, and it is now general practice for the public to record videos of security guards as well as of policemen on the job. This can happen anytime and anywhere, and may also be submitted to the compliant department, in which your actions will be questioned.

So be extra careful of your surroundings, your attitude and of how you conduct yourself on the job when dealing with the public.
