Introduction
Final Exam: At the conclusion of this course, you will be provided with a final exam. The passing mark for the exam is 73%
Exam Attempts: You may take the final exam up to 5 times at the conclusion of this course. If you do not achieve a passing mark of 73% or higher, you will not qualify or be presented with the GCTactical Use of Force Certification. Should you not be successful in earning your Use of Force Certification card, you will be required to re-purchase the training program and re-attempt the final exam.
Please ensure that you watch all videos in full as passing the final exam will require detailed information provided in the training videos.
NOTE: This program will consist of a number of lessons that include reading material and explanation videos. You are required to watch each video before completing each lesson.
These videos will demonstrate the proper application of handcuffs and the use of the expandable baton. It is your responsibility as a security professional to research and familiarize yourself with use of force legislation and governing laws in your location.

Use of Force in general is conducted in-class as there are lots of practical techniques to be learned. Providing an online training option in Use of Force would prove difficult in regards to practicing as you complete this course.
We recommend that you find a partner to practice with as you complete this course, or perhaps on your own time after you have completed the training program.

The GCT Use of Force – Handcuffing Certification Program will introduce officer responses and appropriate actions based on 4 levels of force exhibited by a subject.
- Compliant Subjects
- Passive Resistant
- Active Resistant
- Assaultive Subjects
Grievous Bodily Harm or Death – This is the 5th level of force that may be exhibited by the subject, however, this level of training is only provided in the Expandable Baton component of the GC Tactical Use of Force Training Program. If you would like to enroll in the Baton Certification component, please contact us.
We will cover the proper and lawful process and procedure to affect an arrest based on each of the 4 above mentioned subject behaviors.
ATTENTION: You must watch each video in every lesson in its entirety to progress and continue to the next lesson. Your course progress is monitored by the instructor and admin staff.
If you forward a video or skip any video to the end and do not watch it in its entirety, it will be recorded and time stamped with our monitoring software.
Failure to watch each and every video WILL disqualify you from earning your Use of Force Certification.
