Primary Check
- Check for Responsiveness of the victim
- Tap and shout. Determine if the victim is responsive to your attempts
- Breathing
- Check if the victim is breathing
- Look at chest and face. Note if the chest is rising, or if there is any facial movement
- Do you hear any abnormal sounds?
- Check for severe bleeding.
- Slide your hands around the victims body. Look at your hands periodically to determine if there is any bleeding from the victim.
- Look on the ground and surrounding area for signs of bleeding.
